New ride and more ABCs

Well, our car was considered a total loss.  So we had to go car shopping.  We really do not enjoy car shopping.  Nothing about it is fun, especially when you're in a hurry to find something.  But we found the perfect solution- a minivan!  But it's a cool minivan.  :) LOL.

Here are our farewell pictures of Taurie...
Hannah actually cried when they hauled it away, she realized that the car really wasn't coming back!

Here's our new minivan!  I love it.  I think it gives us the extra room that we need and it looks pretty nice too! :)

After the last flood, Dan contacted the borough and they supplied us with free sandbags.  We spent a couple of days filling them with sand (also provided by the borough) and then we constructed 'the wall.'  We hope that it will prevent the water from entering the garage/basement.  We really haven't had much rain since the last flood, so we're not sure how it works but we don't mind!  I don't like being nervous every time it rains anyway!!  The wall is going to be there until something is done to fix the problem.

The kids are doing wonderful!  They continue to grow and change every day.  Noah is everywhere and has started experimenting with standing without holding onto to anything for a few seconds at a time.  He hasn't taken any steps yet, but I'm sure it's coming!  He now has 2 teeth that you can see in the picture below!

Since the weather warmed up a little this week, we pulled out the wormie sprinkler that our good friends got for Hannah.  She loved it!

We have continued working on the alphabet with Hannah.  She is doing awesome!  She can visually recognize over half of the alphabet, even though we're only on the letter H.  She loves to point out letters every where we go.  It's funny to be driving and all of a sudden she's yelling "There's an A over there and a W over here."  She also loves to say what letters are on t-shirts.  Each week we make a letter (from here) to hang on our wall (in our living room!)  Here's what we have so far.

The other day when we were at the store I saw a really neat puzzle, but I didn't like the price tag.  After thinking about it for a few days, I just went ahead and made one.  I think it turned out great, even if it's not a wooden puzzle.

I guess that's about all for now.  I just started attending a women's bible study that I'm excited about.  You can read about it here.  I have heard very good things about it.  MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) has also started up for the year, so we're busy running around!  I'm a DGL (discussion group leader) this year, so if you think of it pray for me.  I'm not much of a leader, so we'll see how it turns out!  :)  Until next time
